I really miss TDC (the digichick) I spent most of today scrapping, but couldn't spend any time looking at other people's pages! I'm so glad it will be back up tomorrow. I really wonder, will everyone post all the pages they've done? Could be a crowded gallery!
So here's the page I just finished...third for today. It's week 8 of "It's a Chick's Life, Scrap It," a summary of the month of February. Isn't she the cutest?? :-)

Loyalty
Today's blog challenge is a tough one, but a super-easy one too.
"Right now, I have a loyal friend in ___________."
How easy is that? I value loyalty pretty highly, so I have friends I can really depend on.
So here's my list of loyal friends.
Mom.
Karen.
Josh.
Buffy.
Sarah.
Joanna.
Jasmine.
Kenny.
I'll stop there, but the list keeps going.
Because my list is long, I won't write why I see each of them as a loyal friend. Let's just say it's nice to know I can trust each of these people and I hope they see me as a loyal friend too.
(disclaimer: the order of the list doesn't mean anything. Please don't feel slighted...I couldn't put everyone first! I love you all, really!!)

More pages
I'm so lost without my scrapbook site, thedigichick.com . It will be back up tomorrow morning. I can hardly wait!
I've been scrapping anyways, just haven't been able to post them there. Then this blog was acting up last night, so I tried to put it on our website. That wasn't working either! So I've felt terribly lost!
Anyways, here is the page I did this morning (Jasmine went to bed early last night so I was up with her at 6:10 this morning). I had the idea as I was falling asleep last night, and it came out even better than I'd hoped. How often does that happen?? (not often)

I did a page yesterday afternoon for a sketch "challenge" on the digichick's blog. It was fun to use these two pictures I've wanted to scrap for awhile now but haven't found the right layout. This worked out great! I love both pictures...Jasmine looking warily at Jerry, Jerry letting her climb on top of him...it's great. And Jerry really likes her, since she's the only one in the house who'll give him the time of day.

A special anniversary
As Jasmine nurses in her sleep, I keep smiling, realizing what a special day today is.
As of today (about an hour ago, to be exact), she has been nursing for the same length of time I was pregnant with her.
Isn't that fun? I think that should be celebrated! The fact that she's been experiencing life outside the womb for as long as she was inside it, seems like a pretty big deal to me :)
I've gotten behind on posting scrapbook pages. I may have put this link up before, but in case I didn't, you can follow all my layout progress here.
But I'll try to keep putting my favorite pages up here, too!
I've had the pictures of Josh and I for awhile now, and wanted to do this page, but it was harder than I thought it would be. So here's what I came up with.

This is one of my favorite pages so far. I love this picture, and had a lot of fun making this page. My little sweetie, and my prince charming on Halloween (it was fun to dress up, just for each other!)

Brief update
Jasmine is so much fun! She's really starting to talk now. She clearly says "baby" whenever she sees one anywhere (especially on the computer). She tells me when she wants to nurse (nanana). She likes to imitate our talking, but those she volunteers. She says 'yayaya" when I sing (one of her favorite songs has "lalala" in it, and she joins me on it).
Oh! And as of tomorrow, I will have nursed her for the same amount of time I was pregnant with her :-)

Baseball!!!
Spring must be just around the corner!
I'll ignore the fact that this weekend is supposed to be the coldest of the season.
My Yankees pitchers and catchers are in Tampa, and they begin on Friday. Spring Training doesn't start for the rest of the players quite yet, but it's coming. I get to see my beloved team again!
You know? I think one of my favorite things about the Yankees is that the team is made up of such good guys. I know people talk all the time about "buying the best team" but I love what Joe Torre does at making sure there are no prima donnas playing. Gary Sheffield is often seen as a prima donna, but he's proven that he's quite a team player (and mom's favorite). I would love to meet any of them, as people, not just players in Pinstripes.
So what started out as mom telling me every time Jeter was up to bat ("Jeter's up and he's still single!") has now become my favorite pasttime (taking pictures of, and scrapbooking, Jasmine is more of an obsession than a pasttime). I love that I've gotten Josh into it much more too, so it really is a family event, not just me doing something and him following along :)
Two months 'til our game in Toronto!!

I think I have a new favorite picture of Jasmine!
Isn't she just gorgeous? This is from this morning. Looks older than her 9 months, with that "deep in thought" look. (at least she does to me).
I made everything (even the corner "brush") and the words are from a Faith Hill song. The font is Chroma Script SSK.

Joke Time (blog challenge)
Wow. I hadn't realized it, but all my jokes are visual and/or need to be spoken. They just wouldn't be funny if I wrote them down.
So for now, until/unless I can come up with one that "works" on paper, I'll leave you with my favorite knock-knock joke, just for Val :)
Knock knock
(who's there?)
Interrupting Cow
(interrup-)
MOOOO
:)

Peekaboo
Isn't she the cutest? She just loves playing peekaboo, especially with Daddy. Makes my heart completely melt to watch! Text reads: Jasmine loves to play peekaboo, especially with Daddy. She thinks it’s the funniest game, and it gets funnier, the longer they play it.

In non-scrapping news, winter has returned to our neck of the woods. I'm refusing to let myself believe that winter has been unpleasant (it's so easy to forget the past when it changes so drastically). According to our heating bill, the average for January was 13 degrees higher than last year (35 up from 22!) Wow. I'm really hoping we don't pay for that in February, March and/or April!

Puff, the little dragon
Jasmine loves her Puff. Amy made him for her for Christmas, ordering the kit and making him, from start to finish. So precious!!

This is week five of "It's a Chick's Life, Scrap It." The challenge for this week was to make a page on whoever, or whatever, we are 'sweet on.' Guess who I did it of?

Pets
Josh and I are dog lovers. We want two dogs, a Schnoodle and something else. We'll name the Schnoodle Mr. Schnerdly, and the other dog will be Jewett Holmwood. Aren't you glad Jasmine has such a nice, normal name?
My family has a dog, Buffy. Kenny and I bought him, paid for his vet bills for the first few years ('til we moved out), and took him to obedience training. He's not the brightest dog around, but he's sweet. A cockapoo, he looks more like a cocker spaniel than a poodle. His only weakness is his barking. He thinks he protects the house with his vicious bark. (eye rolly guy here) He is so devoted to the family, and so gentle around babies, that he's (usually) forgiven for his barking. Jasmine can grab a handful of fur (before I catch her) and he'll just sit there, sometimes whimpering but never dreaming of doing something to hurt her or make her get off.
